1. 01

   Steel Wire

   High-strength, high-carbon wire rod sourced from iron and steel mills is first surface-cleaned and phosphate-coated. It is then cold-drawn to smaller diameters in a first stage on our state-of-the-art wire drawing machines, using drawing dies. Before the second diameter reduction, the wires pass through patenting and galvanising on our patenting line so that they reach the required technical properties.

2. 02

   Strand Laying

   Depending on customer requirements, the wires produced for rope are laid into strands on our stranding machines, whose number of cradles suits the required lay construction and geometry; these strands are the basic elements of the steel wire rope.

3. 03

   Rope Closing

   In line with standards and customer requirements, the strands are closed around IWRC or WRC steel cores, or PPC or jute cores, on our tubular and planetary machines to form the rope.

4. 04

   Quality Control and Shipment

   Throughout every sub-process and intermediate stage of rope production, surface, yield and tensile strength, elongation, coating weight, torsion and lay direction tests are carried out to international standards. After the final closing stage, products that pass the diameter, lubrication, lay length, preforming and actual breaking load (ABL) checks are packed, labelled from the ERP system and made ready for shipment.
