Information on the personal data processed through our website under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).
Data controller
This notice is issued by Şahinler Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (“Şahinler Metal” or the “Company”) as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) regarding personal data collected through www.sahinler.com.tr. Personal data we process
- Identity and contact: full name, e-mail address, phone number, company name and country.
- Request details: the subject, message, product and quantity you submit through our contact and quote forms.
- CV information: the CV file, cover letter and LinkedIn profile you provide when applying for a job.
- Transaction security: IP address, browser information, submission time and consent records.
Purposes and legal grounds
We process your personal data to respond to your contact and quote requests, to evaluate job applications, to ensure information security and prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations. Processing is based on Article 5(2) of the KVKK: necessity for entering into or performing a contract (c), compliance with a legal obligation (ç) and our legitimate interests provided that your fundamental rights are not harmed (f); where none of these applies, on your explicit consent.
How we collect data
Your data is collected electronically when you submit it directly through the forms on our website.
Transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to the service providers we use for hosting and e-mail, and to competent authorities where legally required, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.
Retention
Contact and quote requests are kept for 24 months, job applications (including the CV file) for 12 months and cookie consent records for 24 months; they are then deleted or anonymised. Where the law requires longer retention, the statutory periods apply.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred, to request correction, deletion or destruction, to object to adverse outcomes of automated analysis and to claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.
